No one does.

People changed, Arturo, is not like how we used to live decades ago. They can see the knews, they know about other countries easily. They won't suffer a dictatorship when they see that others ways of government might work.

I know they won't, but you know as well as if not better than I do that the idiots in charge aren't just going to let go that easily, either.

They either give up or get killed. But the second option implies more people getting hurt.

Oh thank goodness, you're back to normal! I've never heard that saying before, though...

You're welcome, Mr. Spain. I was really worried for a while there, but I'm so glad you're back to when you should be!

Yes, it was only a virus, gracias a dios. Never? It's quite interesting. at first, people thought it was a blessing.

I am really thankful for what you tried to do, really, Pearl. I know I wasn't the nicest person back in those days.

Well, I guess that living in interesting times does sound like a good thing to do at first.

It wasn't any trouble! You're my friend, no matter what time you're in, I just wish that I could have done more... I read most of the rest of the chapters on the 20th century in my book after we'd finished talking. You really went through a lot. I don't think anyone could possibly act nice all the time if they were going through those sorts of things.

Yes, but it really means is 'problematic times'. Think about what makes a time interesting, what makes something get into the history books. It's usually a disasters or wars.

I saw. I'm praying he leaves, so there won't be even more fighting...but I know that sometimes bosses can be too stubborn.

The fight won't stop immediately even if he leaves, but unless he does something soon this will only end in more deaths.

Another problem it's if they close the Suez Canal.

Yeah. It's not going to be easy either way, but if he leaves it might mean less blood.

...yeah. I know people are worried about that. It's going to start affecting a lot more than just Egypt if they do that.

That's... interesting. We have the same curse in the Empire.

Really? But aren't you from a different world?

red_army_btrfly February 7 2011, 07:09:41 UTC
Yes, I am. Though according to Azula-san the language of the Empire is a lot like... Chinese in any case, as well as being like the language of her own world.

Interesting times are rarely times about peace.

But they're interesting none the less?

Though I guess I get what you mean. Peace is pretty cool

Yes, but also problematic. That's why it's a curse.

Si.
