I think you're too hard on yourself.

I think I am just about fair on myself.

They way she carries herself. Her smile. Her confidence. There are many things outside of conventional beauty.

I doubt he sees that far past it all.

Sometimes, it just takes time for them to see, or for the woman to believe.

She's gotta know what she's doin'. Be proud of herself and not let anybody tell her no.

Proud? But surely pride only benefits the...standoffish-ness some suffer so well.

Not being so proud you're an asshole...uh, how do I say it? More like being confident. Walking with your head held high.

That...makes sense I suppose. Perhaps if I were to bite my tongue more often I would not seem so unfavourable.

I'm going to have to echo what was said about confidence - especially since it's something you can see. When you're confident, you carry yourself differently - you can tell you're not trying to hide.

... And trust me, being a different color doesn't make you ugly. It's not as if you have rocks poking through your skin or something.

But what is all you want to do is hide?

No, I do not have rocks, though I am surprised from the sheer number of them thrown at me during my youth that they did not stick to my skin. Being a different colour doesn't bother me, it's more a matter that I am not perceived as normal. I'm the green girl. That's how I'm always named. Not Elphaba or the girl.

Beautiful people generally find it harder to hide.

... I can understand that.

Beautiful people, do they need a place to hide?
