Whoa.

Stumbled upon this piece and I am completely mindblown.

I love this so much. You write beautifully and I love the tone and angst in it, especially the juxtaposition of Shakespearean tragedy on GRi's relationship. Ri's relationship with Ji is just dysfunctional, but so real. I felt so much for Ri.

And I really want to give Ri a big hug.

Thanks for writing!

Aww, thank you for reading and commenting! I write beautifully? That's so lovely to say l_l

The tone is my favourite thing about this fic! And I'm glad you got the literary reference to tragedy, so ironic when this is their tragedy. I want to give you a big hug!

Thanks again.

Oh, I'm so glad that this left a good impression on you after not reading a GRi fic for so long! I like dark!fics too although you probably wouldn't be able to tell with the flufftastic other stories I've written lol.

I shall try to write more :) No worries.

I kind of left it up for the reader to decide but I like to think that Jiyong did, or at the very least he lit several of those candles that he bought for the blackout and it was all an unfortunate accident...

as i was reading, even in the beginning when everythg seemed perfect and Ji seemed like God's gift to Seungri, i felt uneasy, could tell something was bound to happen, especially as you left clues such as the mention of 'Romeo and Juliet' and also ji's possessivity. But it still took me by surprise because you really nailed the ending. this story's soso good, i love it, and the ending was striking, especially with the way u played with the fear of dark and how in the end, the light burned -gave me goosebumps. LOVE it!! well done :D

I'm such a cynic, I don't think perfection exists :D Like the beginning was the calm before the storm right? I'm glad you picked up on my clues! I tried to be subtle since it's told in Ri's view and he does think Ji is God gift but I was worried that it'd come off as a sudden change and be sort of unbelievable.
Glad it was surprising rather than unbelievable though ^^
I love your reaction lol! Thank youuuu so much for reading and commenting.

Damn.
I'm honestly never comfortable reading fics that are written in first person, but for this one it turns out it works pretty well.

The ending hits like a fucking brick.

But it is a... good brick? :'D There are no softening elements so it leaves a very strong impression! I kind of start to really like your brand of mercilessness~

Oh, I think I prefer 3rd person POV's too but I felt this sort of was best told through Seungri, kind of so that we only find out things as he does, and through his eyes with his feelings colouring everything.
I'm especially happy that you think it works well if you don't really like 1st POV's :)

I'm glad you like this sort of mercilessness; I may be a sucker for fluff but I have a slight aversion to happily ever afters, just like RiRi here. :3 I'm conflicted; the most idealistic and horrendously cynical all at the same time.
