LJ, you should know that my dear friend Vince would have loved, loved, loved you, and would have moved heaven and earth to put your show in front of an audience. As sucky as stuffed shirts are, the story of your script itself made me think of him with a smile. So thank you <3

Her response?

"N'awwwwww! I'm glad it brought back memories and I would have loved to meet him!"

There was a big grin on her face, too. And mine.

Oh, I adore this. I'm sorry I didn't comment right after I read it - life has been like that lately - but I really love the conclusion. The perfect plan for Dormammu to try and the perfect way to defeat it: the universe shaking beaten by the mundane reality of what people actually are. It also neatly keeps Selena in the story without having her powers able to resolve everything in the blink of an eye, a neat trick to pull off well without it seeming arbitrary.

And a six month time skip? Interesting, interesting . . .

Wonderful! And I wave away your apology as unnecessary. For one, good fiction is best enjoyed when life settles so that there's no distractions from the adventure. For another, I've two of your brilliant creations to sit down and enjoy come Sunday (when, according to the forecast, I will be without distractions) so it's very much an even situation :)

That's when the devious kidlet informed me she was a deliberate Sue, and that trope ( ... )

This story needs to be made into a animated movie!!! What a conclusion I LOVED it! Such a great way to wrap it all up with Selena forcing herself to be real but also deciding her purpose.
Dormammu getting his arse kicked by the upgrades his creation provided the heroes (poetic justice at its best). Stephen showing exactly why he is THE Sorcerer Supreme. Also we get to keep Selena in a way that she doesn't become the Helmet of Nabu (from Young Justice) and that she can grow and develop with the rest of the girls. Really looking froward to more of their adventures & to see what this 6 month time gap has wrought.

I absolutely adored the way LJ, despite her obvious love for Selena as a character, went out of her way to depower her and avoid any Mary Sue/Gary Stu-type issues. It shows a lot of wisdom, I feel, for an 11-year-old to dodge that bullet when so many other writers (including paid professionals) don't.
