Oh, I adore this. I'm sorry I didn't comment right after I read it - life has been like that lately - but I really love the conclusion.

Wonderful! And I wave away your apology as unnecessary. For one, good fiction is best enjoyed when life settles so that there's no distractions from the adventure. For another, I've two of your brilliant creations to sit down and enjoy come Sunday (when, according to the forecast, I will be without distractions) so it's very much an even situation :)

The perfect plan for Dormammu to try and the perfect way to defeat it: the universe shaking beaten by the mundane reality of what people actually are. It also neatly keeps Selena in the story without having her powers able to resolve everything in the blink of an eye, a neat trick to pull off well without it seeming arbitrary.

When LJ first outlined Selena for me, many months back, I was more than a little concerned that she strayed far too close to Mary Sue territory. That's when the devious kidlet informed me she was a deliberate Sue, and that trope inversion was imminent, and that the denouement would render her mortal "in a non-Pinocchio way". That got me pretty excited.

And a six month time skip? Interesting, interesting . . .

Oh, my friend, you have no idea. But you will... just as soon as I add another four hours to each day so I bloody well have time to write!
