Gabriel to Solid Food: "Drop Dead"

We made attempt #1 at introducing Gabriel to solid food today. As per the instructions, we mixed 1 tablespoon of single-grain rice cereal with 5 tablespoons of formula pre-mixed with water. I can't wait to see that video! "Um...Mom...what the heck is this THING in my mouth, GET IT OUTTTT!!!" Haha! As for the having to have his arms held down to sleep thing, I just have one question: how the heck did you figure that one out!!!??!! -Jodes

Well, he used to have to be swaddled all the time, and he's still very fidgety. So while we were in Florida we realized that although he doesn't like the "straight jacket" feeling of a swaddle anymore, he still needs help holding still long enough to doze off when he's really tired. So we tried holding his arms down to keep them from flailing around, and consequently, keeping him awake, and it worked. And now...it keeps working. *sigh*
