Well, the job part sounds kind of cool but I think it's time to draw some boundaries with your brother. Politely tell him he is a grown up and has to learn to sort things like directions out for himself.

I think there is a certain kind of man out there (not the kind I am attracted to, for the record) that likes to be brow-beaten by women. They get so used to having no power and no decision making ability (or are so coddled by their mommy) that when they find themselves single again they are just CLUELESS.

I know because my Dad went through this after my stepmonster died. To this day he can't pick which restaurant to eat at by himself. It's maddening.

The silliest thing is that he knows exactly where he's going! He just had to have my opinion on the very best route to take *rolls eyes*

He's been independent for almost twenty years and has coped quite well without my input on everything *sigh* I know the women he's dated over the years haven't been the 'controlling' types, so he's been making all those decisions for himself. I don't know what's happening at the moment, but I just hope it doesn't last long, because my sanity isn't going to hold...

Well... the getting paid part sounds good. It comes with a lot of strings, but family always comes with a lot of strings and usually you don't get paid.

The money doesn't bother me either way, but he'd have to pay someone else, so he's paying me. Family does come with strings unfortunately, but at least I can tell him off and he won't take offense, because I've been doing that all his life ;)

Well, at least a man finally knows he's lost and was willing to stop and ask a woman for directions!

:D Much love to you, my dear

You know, if it was that I'd be celebrating, but this house has been in our family for over 50 years and we all know how to get there.

Thank you :)

hey i think that's awesome that he came with chocolates AND flowers! i know lots of husbands who don't even do that! also, it's cool that you have a 1 day a month job (if you wanted one, that is) but it REALLY sucks that she stole from him. is he going to press criminal charges against her? i know SO many people who don't in that kind of situation... which is why they are calling me, their credit card collector, cause they can't pay.

I'll give him one thing, he's appreciative of anything anyone does for him. Psst... My husband doesn't do that ;)

He's not going to press charges *grumbles* I would and I've told him that he should, but he won't.
