Sometimes it's just a pleasure...

Some wins feel better than others.  The team my boys played today started the day by getting right in my face and complaining that they had no change rooms (they did, but they had to wait all of five minutes for the team before them to clear the rooms).  I directed them to the Junior Registrar and when they came back again I told them where they ( Read more... )

Congratulations to your team! It sounds like a win well-earned, and well-deserved. And it must have felt very, very good!

Nice!!! Go boys!

How do your girls handle the losses? My daughter does pretty well, though she did cry when they lost in the last game of the season and were eliminated from the playoffs.

They're very good at making people pay for upsetting us ;)

My girls are really good when they lose. Maddy loves to win, but she's always really happy for the team who does win. Tori's more into analysing where they went wrong and working out how to fix it for next time.

Psst... Even big, tough footballers cry when they lose an elimination final ;)

Sam does the analysis on the way home as well. *G* The tears were mostly frustration. Two of our girls got elbowed in the nose and the refs never called it. But, that is what you get when you have teen-aged boys refereeing.

Poor umpiring is very frustrating and shouldn't ever happen, most especially in finals. Physical contact like that should never go unchecked *shakes head*

The tears I've had from my boys were simply devastation. I would have much preferred the frustrated type.

Thanks! I hope so too, but if they didn't the other two powerful teams in our league won't have a problem giving them a refreshed course and we do play them again later in the season ;)
