alissomora recently had a "ABC challenge fic meme thingy" going and I gave her a prompt. The resulting fic, Of Babies And Harpies, is hilarious. You all must go and read! I insist ( Read more... )

The waxing story *laughs really hard*

I wonder how the weather is with us.
The sky is blue but that can mean anything.

I keep laughing at her too *giggles*

Our sky has come over all cloudy again, so I guess we might get a bit more rain overnight *yay*

I don't need rain.
I think I want some snow. It is about bloody time for it.

We take every drop of rain we can get, especially at this time of the year ;)

You don't snow either? What is wrong with the world? *shakes head*

I personally did that to one of my eye brows when I was in my late twenties. I used a home-wax kit and accidentally riped most of one eye brow off. At least both of hers are done that way so it is less noticable :)

I've had little slips with the wax, but nothing like this. It's very noticable ;)

Oh dear. Does Tori realize that her eyebrows look funny? Or does she think she looks all grown up? I hope they grow out a bit before she goes back to school.

We had a huge temperature drop overnight Thursday, from 67F (about 19C) to 15F (about -9C). It was definitely jarring. We've been getting sleet and a little snow, but not as badly as some other areas. We still need to shovel the walk today, though. Even if you're cold, you at least don't have to do that!

Oh yes, she knows she looks funny *nods* Of course, that could be because I can't keep a straight face around her *giggles* I hope they grow back before she goes back to school as well, but she only has two weeks left :/

That's a huge drop! I don't think I could handle shoveling the walk *shakes head* It's bad enough when we get loads of rain and everything floods!

Luckily, my husband volunteered to do the shoveling, so I didn't have to. He didn't get very far, though. It was all ice, so he had to hack at it, and he ended up breaking the shovel. Oops! Anyway, I think I'd rather have snow than flooding. Maybe.

*oops* At least with snow you can see it ;)

Poor Tori! But... *giggles* Let's hope Mitch doesn't notice and tease her. I agree with embe11ished , I hope her eyebrows grow out before school starts.

We've had nothing but rain for the best three days straight. It was supposed to turn into an ice storm last night, but no luck!

Mitch has noticed and is dealing out the appropriate amount of teasing (along with the rest of us *wink*). She has two weeks to grow them back!

It's still quite frosty here this morning, but the sky is blue (which I'm pretty sure it wasn't meant to be).

Aww. Poor Tori! A lot can happen in two weeks. How is Maddy's cut?

It's still cold and dreary here.

Well hopefully they'll grow quickly ;) Maddy's cut is healing well. We're keeping a close eye on it and it's getting cleaned daily with hospital strength antiseptic ;)

Shaves? *blinks* Well it is a form of hair removal, but...

My toes are still blue this morning and I'll actually be taking a jacket to swimming this morning - totally unheard of before!
