Lots going on here lately!

Austin started fourth grade last week (wtf??).  So far, so good.  It looks like he's trying to stay a little more organized this year, though he didn't really back that up by forgetting to bring his backpack home on Friday afternoon.  You win some, you lose some, I guess.

Nate's up to five teeth now, and they're very cute

I know, we're totally in for it starting in a couple of years. Austin with his gorgeous brown eyes and Nate with his gorgeous blue ones.

Adorable!!! My sister said my nephew can say "baff" really well. lol As in, "Mykal, do you want to take a bath?" "BAFF?! *runs upstairs*"

I meant to ask... why does Nate wear a necklace? It's very pretty, and it looks good on him... I'm just curious.

And, the glasses, haircut, and skirt look fabulous!

Heehee! I can't wait 'til Nate can tell me things like that- it sounds super cute! Right now we're just starting to get "ma ma" and "da da" consistently. It's really amazing watching him learn these new things. =)

It is an amber teething necklace. It's not intended to be chewed on, but just worn against the skin. It releases analgesic oils into the skin that alleviate discomfort, like teething. You can read more about them (and the history of amber, and other neato trivial stuff) here. I think it may actually work, too! lol He cut three teeth in three days last week, and it really didn't seem to interfere with his mood too much. I figure it can't hurt for him to wear it; they're individually knotted so if the thread breaks (which it would if it got caught on something) only one bead will fall off.
