Maybe it's foolish of me, but I'm getting really excited. The other day I saw an ad about the supreme court nomination and it was all like "the crazy republicans have the white house! bwahahahah. It's so awesome. And I was so pumping my fist and saying "yes!" when the news was like "this info came out just as senate was voting on Patriot act, and they said no.

I've been enjoying the news I've been reading lately, which is much better than dreading even looking anything up for fear that we've progressed further into Big Brother society.

I'm really hopeful about it right now, but also apprehensive. People are amazingly stupid. There may yet be ways that the regime of stupid can find to hold power and continue to brainwash people, in spite of facts.
