AHAHAHAHAHA! That's a great story! You totally make that poor guy and his miserable job's day. :D

We've always done the one or two finger salute from the steering wheel (no, not that finger). I stopped after I moved to the city, but it comes back everytime I'm driving in a small town. Ah small town mentality.

Awww!

I don't think I've ever waved, but I always smile and nod at a man that makes the round of the pubs and restaurants around here selling roses and chocolate coated fruit. I don't know how it started - I hardly ever go to any of the places and I think it's been years since we last met in a restaurant so he could offer me his goods, but we smile at each other as he drives by and, well, I can't say for sure about him, but it tends to cheer me up.

It's one of those strange relationships that just kind of appear out of nowhere and make little sense, but god help me I'll probably miss the kid when we move. >< Like the weirdo I am!
