Snowshoeing!!
We, Lord of Xaos, A, and our respective crazy dogs are all heading up the Poudre Canyon for some mild snowshoeing. We will leaving from the Dutch George camping area and will probably spend about 2-3 hours out.
If we don't post again by 9 PM, please send someone to haul our frozen assess out of the woods, K? Thanks!

First Snowshoe of the Season
Well, hopefully, since it's currently 50 degrees outside but ya never know...
We're heading up to the Cameron Pass area; we plan on snowshoeing or running (depending on snow conditions) the Zimmerman Lake trail. We have the cell phone, our headlamps, and some minimal survival gear but we're packing light.

New Ink!!
So, after running the Sombrero Roundup 4.5 Mile trail race on September 15 (however badly, but I did it) and then redeeming myself on a 4.6 mile, 1,200 foot vertical climb-and-back-down-again run on September 21, I marked the transition of me-into-runner by getting a tattoo on the same ankle that I messed up nicely in NZ.

Back to the Land of.... well, not NZ
We're finally home. After lots of hours of travel, miscommuncations with our friends and therefore a tough time getting into our house (our friend didn't realize we were landing Thursday night and he had our only available house key), we were able to sleep in our bed ( Read more... )
