Finally got in touch with the Radiation Oncologist, had my first appointment today. Nice guy. Did his damn research, I have to give him that. He brought up things and problems that I hadn't thought about in YEARS. It's decidedly odd to be going to a doctor who actually LOOKED at my chart and took notes O.o. Plaster cast? Is that instead of the binder? I usually think of using them for broken bones and junk.

I get what you mean about a Dr who actually interacts with the patient. I think the industry tends to teach aloofness as the norm.

It's to make a custom radiation shield so they only fry the part that they want and the rest of me doesn't start to glow ;)

It was so startling and refreshing ^_^

WOW. never thought about what needed to be done to go through with radiation. it was just something said that slid by I guess. Glad someone asked about the cast cause I was curious too. Glad to know it won't last as long as expected.Praying all goes well.
