Trans-Siberian Orchestral version is way better than Mannheim Steamroller in my opinion (maybe because it sounds real....not so electronic). My grandma used to use those silver ball decorations on her christmas tree cookies too (along with a few other types of decors). Although I remember them as these really hard little things that seemed like they would crack your teeth. :) I can't have a christmas tree :( I love the lights too, but I'm afraid my cat will recreate the "Christmas Vacation" movie scene and end up fried on the floor. I'm pretty sure she'd also chew up all of my little ornaments because she's a little B that just can't get enough to chew on.
As far as your tree, it's not that you can't have one, it's just that you are willing to let your cat train you instead of you either training or restraining your cat. :P

Trust me....she cannot be restrained when it comes to that stuff. We've tried several different things, and the only thing that works is just keeping the stuff she chews on away from her. I think we're going to try a "scat mat" later on when we want to have a big tree. Maybe that will keep her away. But for now, I don't have the room for such a thing, so no tree for me.
