Good weekend so far

Noel left on Tuesday for Seattle where she is hanging out with Amy & Tibbles, and visiting some others including He Who Shall Not Be Named. She seems to be having a good time. Her return flight is not yet scheduled (she's flying standby courtesy of my supervisor Carol so that's not as bad as it sounds). I told her to call me before 3pm Friday (

Starved Rock is also lots of fun in the dead of winter when we've had a few weeks where the temperature has stayed well below freezing. You have to really bundle up, but then you can hike up the frozen rivers in the canyons and see the huge frozen waterfalls at the canyon ends.

You must not have gotten to play a lot of TQ, since I got back from the store at 2:30 and there were several folks there. :)

It was a lot of fun meeting your friends from HS! Too bad the quiet antisocial one who was the most like me lives in Michigan.

OK, I can see a summer outing to Starved Rock with you and your girls and Don and his girls. *g* I've only been once, but it was fun and I would love to go back again sometime, especially now that my allergy shots are finally taking hold - allowing me to stay outdoors for longer than an hour or two.
