sinclairhawkins's picture made the front page of our free local weekly newspaper supplement. I spread it out on the kitchen table so ealdthryth could see it when she got home. Except that when she got home she couldn't see it. Ignatius was curled up on it. He might be missing his former foster family.

The vast majority of our CDs are pre-Amazon or were otherwise not purchased through Amazon. Paying for them a second time just for the convenience of the cloud is somewhat unattractive at the moment... :/ It is a good thought going forward, though.

We also discovered a large segment of our collection does not have any track information embedded on the CD, so all we get is "Track #", Song title: "(no data)", artist: "(no data)". I think the music companies started adding that sometime in the 1990's

He's a _stockholder_. There ain't a damn thing D*C can do about it. For that matter, anybody can be a stockholder of any company that has stock, so unless all those yahoos are willing check each and every company that they might possibly do business with to see if any "bad" person holds stock, they need to just shut up about it. Yes, the man is a douche of the first degree, but something he hasn't been involved in for 20 years shouldn't be held accountable just because he still holds stock. Hey, he probably holds stock in Coca-Cola too. Let's all boycott them until he sells his stock. Sheesh. It's another example of the media stirring the pot.

I think if he were merely *a* stockholder--like one in thousands--as in a regular corporation instead of owning 33.3% of it, people might find it less objectionable.

It's just irksome. You want to smack people in the head and make them STFU. What kills me, is this author that pretty much started the whole thing. Is she such a doofus that she doesn't understand stock, or is it truly what others have said, that she hates him personally and is on a vendetta ( ... )

The original authors said they weren't going to attend and why--perhaps a little too forcefully. OTHER people started going howler monkey in the comments section. The individual person (in the comments section) with the axe to grind does seem to have some personal affront specific to her and her family, and it does seem vendetta-like just from a surface scan of the discussion.after comment 100 or so, it looks like anyone else that comments gets a knee-jerk reply from two individuals.
