Greagoir sighed in exasperation as he watched the templar stutter his way through introductions with the Grey Warden. He'd come seeking mages to set loose upon the world, foolishly thinking he could control them as he did the blades strapped to his back.
The young templar was still so very green, protesting when he'd been asked to preside over the harrowing of the very mage the Warden Leader looked to take from here.
They'd all seen the the way he followed her with his eyes, taking the post outside her room now that she'd been moved up to their floor, his feelings obvious and embarassing, a mark of shame that the man would be better off outgrowing sooner than later.

Hawke and Fenris eyed the miscreants they'd caught.
"Now then, what were you doing down in these caves?" Fenris asked.
"We were just ... going to the Wounded Coast for some ... sunlight and swimming, sir."
Hawke shook his head. "Wounded Coast, huh? Almost made it."
Fenris produced a pouch. "What's this?"
Another smuggler spoke up. "Ohhh ... that's not ours."
Hawke smiled. "Now, I'm gonna ask you again. Tell us what you were smuggling." Next to him, Fenris raised an eyebrow.
The smuggler sighed. "... lyrium," he mumbled.
Fenris held up a pack. "Lyrium and ... ?"
Hawke chimed in. "Lyrium and ... ?"
When it was apparent that neither smuggler was going to answer, Fenris produced slaver bills of sale. "Lyrium, and human slaves." The smugglers hung their heads as Fenris smiled. "And we're gonna have to teach you boys a lesson."

It’s been years that the song has been threading its way through his life. It hums from the vials in his belt pouch, it winds a basso threnody through his mind when they venture into the Deep Roads, but worst are the choruses it sings down his spine when he has to lay his hands on warm, living spirals of lyrium carved deep into one man’s flesh.
The song, the song, the song, so beautiful, so haunting, so thrilling. It makes Justice love this life outside the Fade.
The song, the song, the song, looping its melody across Fenris’ body makes Anders hate this life where he could crave something and someone that will always hate him back.

(Which makes me suddenly wonder how Justice would react to Meredith's BIG FUCKING SWORD if Anders is there for the end game. HMM.)
