My sga_santa fic! Originally here. For scrollgirl, who asked for John/Ronon, slice-of-life, and episode tag. This is so totally Not My Pairing, so when in doubt, write porn. I ended up rather pleased with it.

( On his first trip to earth, somebody at the SGC gave Ronon jeans. He didn't think it was a big deal, at the time. )

You *should* be pleased -- this was adorable. I like that ronon's response to Lantians/EArthlings is to laugh, if at all possible, first. I think it keeps him sane, and you did a cool job with that part of his character.

(And as someone who fetishizes the strangest (i.e., most mundane) of clothing choices on B, this felt really true to me, too.)

I suspect this is one of the main reasons Ronon works better for me than Teyla- she never seems to laugh at us quite as much as she should. And Ronon's coping mechanisms must be impressive.

Can I just say again? I love my gift SO MUCH. It is awesome and adorable and beautifully written. Honestly, if you hadn't told me that you're a McShep girl, I would totally not have known! (Though I remembered you're a J/D girl. *g*)

You wrote Ronon as someone who really gets him, who explored his perspective. I really liked his voice here--I just re-read your John/Ronon AMDTI bitlet and I find this Ronon so much truer and fuller than the other Ronon (though I like that other Ronon too).

I hope you'll give John/Ronon another chance, even if it's not your OTP. You did such a good job here, and God knows it's not like this pairing has a surfeit of writers!

Ronon is such a good boyfriend.

And turnabout would absolutely be hot fair play.
