Haha, one of the questions on the web application for Old Navy is "Do you always tell the truth?" I... I think there's an inherent problem with that one, guys. (And srsly, Old Navy, I swear I'm not going to steal your shit. You can stop asking me now ( Read more... )

Are you sure you're filling out a job application and not a livejournal meme by mistake?

I have to ask, what IS the Canadian knock-off of Hot Topic?

And I don't know how far into the Best Buy one you got, but really, there's was just as bad--I'd say a good 55-60 percent of the questions involved honesty and whether or not I was going to steal from them. Like, seriously.

I can't remember what it's called but it's something lame. (In Mic Mac, next to West 49. Pretty new, or at least I've never seen it before and it doesn't seem to be listed on the website at all. It's not that bad -- there's record covers and stuff on the walls, which is cool -- just... commercial punk perturbs me.)

The best part is how they never actually come out and SAY "are you going to steal our shit". It's just implied. A LOT.

A lot, and a lot, and a lot... over and over and over and over... Like seriously, if you have this much trouble with associate theft, that might tell you something about your hiring standards.

Ohh, you mean D-Tox, btw.

SERIOUSLY. (Though this might mean they'll stoop to hiring me. Fingers crossed!)

Ahh, that's it. And poking at their website... as far as mall-'alternative' goes, they are cuter and punker than Hot Topic, lame name aside. But that's not particularly hard.

Clearly! It is a nice change from the usual forms, but... yeah, "interesting" is a good word for it.
