1) I got the job at the University! I am so excited to start. It will be so full of new challenges and new things to learn.

2) I got a story accepted for publication at ChiZine! This is the third of my stories to be accepted at pro venues, which means that I'm now eligible to join SFWA. I'm officially SFWA-Pro material

Budgeting stuff is in the way of any sort of salary anything, but I don't care. I'm 23, and the experience I get will more than make up for not making ASTRONOMICAL SUMS OF MONEY at my first-ever professional job. I mean, my interim job at Gamers pays minimum wage. I'm not complaining about a salaried position doing work I find fascinating.
