If the voices in my head/bother you/I'll turn it down... actually, this is a lie.

Again, this really deserves whole ECKSBOCKS HUEG post, but that RP I mentioned I was in?

Yeah, yesterday I got to opportunity to simultaneously RP two really, really heavy hurt/comfort threads, one on the hurt side, one on the comfort side. It was amazingly, amazingly cathartic ( Read more... )

show: torchwood, rp: beyond the rift, topic: language, *rabid tag attack, *so so awesome, show: doctor who, *one million times win, entry: meme, *deepheart

Y'know, playing either of those threads separately would've been extremely emotionally draining. Playing them at the same time? Just... pure love and joy.

Though yes. Damn plus accounts. That's the other reason I desperately want a paid account for the Doctor. Besides the iconspace. In the meantime... lalala, those mistakes are all in your head.

!TARDIS cures all the world's ills! I want a literal-physical one! (The headvoice one is good too, but... !TARDIS!!)

And, yeah. It's good that we can un-break them, to some extent. I mean, geez, game, it has been So Immensely Breaky for the last bit. We realy should put off the Jack|Romana asplosion for a while. Poor kids deserve a break.

Me too! Everyone should have one! Seriously! It would make the world a better place, I feel.

I was a little worried we wouldn't be able to. I really don't like it when they scare me like that. And yes. Agreed. Which is all good for me, because it gives me time to poke at the little guardian angel who's going to be tagging along with the bitch when she returns.

Yeah. Good Lord Jack freaked me right out in the thread with Rose. And we'd already AGREED that was going to be the thread to (at least partially) un-break him! But, no, hi there, vast reserves of hidden darkness.

Fortunately, !TARDIS and Donna&Gwen rose marvelously to the task. I shudder to think of the case had they not. (Gwen scared me too, right around the point where she stopped knowing what to do. asdfjkl; This can't be good for my heart :P.) (Though, Ball!Doctor and Armchair!TARDIS == {most}{adorable}{ofalltime}. ...I had no intention of going into !TARDIS-speak there, it just kinda happened.)

!TARDIS-speak is awesome.

I'm ridiculously attached to it.

!TARDIS == {(awesome)(lovely)(wonderful)}

This has nothing to do with your post!

But one of the people on my flist just recced The Russians by Hedrick Smith as one of their top ten books, so I figured I should pass it along. Unless you've already read it. In which case, um, YAY!

I think the fact that only paid users can edit comments is in the top two reasons why I hate Plus Accounts so much.

Hhuh. What's it about? (Aside from, yanno, Russians?)

I'm not sure! Here's what the person said about it:

"If you're interested in Russia, especially Soviet Russia, at all, read this book. It's such a fascinating picture of the culture, framed by the fact that there were a lot of people who didn't want us to get a picture of their culture at all."

And that's all I know. D:

Yanno, I think it's gotten to the point where I have to consciously remember that Jack and Sam aren't from the same canon. o.O

O I NO. They've become ridiculously OTP'd in my mind, too, not in that I react badly against other pairings involving them, but in that I just kinda take it as a Fact Of Canons. They're off drivin' each other crazy and being as weirdly should-not-be-non-dysfunctional-how-does-this-work adorable as only an ex-con-man and a Detective (Chief) Inspector running a secret organization investigating aliens can be.
