Oh man, yeah. If the summary I read of #52 was any indication, then hell yeah. Some of the actions Optimus are taking are not the actions of an Autobot Prime. They are gloriously twisted, sneaky and underhanded (almost Starscream like, one might say, and definitely almost as though Jazz is whispering in his audial). It's quite clear that Optimus has lost it and himself and now, I'm actually intrigued. Apparently, Starscream is delighted because Optimus is screwing himself over and Starscream didn't even have to do a thing. Neat-o.

I mean, I still don't care about the whole Council of Worlds thing and the "oo yay femmes because inclusion amirite!!!" and the "Combiners! Why? TO SELL TOYS" stuff and the humans (snoooooore), but this? Optimus potentially going dark only because he's in over his head and he can't see any other way out? Oh this I can get down for.

The fanfic potential alone is worth it. XD

Canon is nothing more than fic fodder to me. I enjoy canon for what it is, but I can't help imagining what else it could be

Oh, I definitely think we're heading in a direction where Optimus continues to make all the wrong choices. I'm giddy with glee to see how far he goes. XD
