I don't know if they'll go THAT far like Shattered Glass far, but the idea of flipping the script with Optimus Doing Bad and Megatron having to Stop Him would be very interesting and plausible.
But yes. THAT. That is what I want. For Megatron and Soundwave to recognize the dark road Optimus is heading down and trying to stop him, to bring him back to the Prime they need him to be so the infighting can stop and the rebuilding can start. -nods-
It would be awesome to see it in canon. I'm already impressed that IDW gave us a storyline that wasn't perpetually war, that we got to see a bit of genuine post-war ness. I'm tickled pink that they allowed JRo to give us canonical gay robots and relationships to shove it up all those people who're like "they're robots, they can't feel, hurrhurr". So to see the Decepticons trying to save the Autobots? Yessssss. I want it!
Because -- kicks bunnies away -- I so can't do it myself right now either. lol
