I've just had an email from NASUWT (teaching union. I'm still on their mailing list as a student member) asking me to sign a petition. The petition is to stop members of the BNP working in schools. Now, unless I've missed something huge here, isn't that just a bit wrong

I know right?! I'm not even sure if it's legal to refuse someone a job because of their political views...

hmmm, it just sounds wrong to me. Should be done on an individual basis. Not just "you support the BNP, you must be a Nazi" mentality.
