Life, the universe and socs

Today started out depressing. First I had a lecture in genome biology which was an intro to the prac which just got me stressed about it. Then I was supposed to have a lecture in microbial psychology and biotechnology but nothing happened so I left after a while feeling stupid. But afterwards I went to the soc mart. So you didn't join the horseback riding thingy? But horseback riding is so much fun! And it really is good exercise. :D You should do it!

I won't have the time now. I was looking for something which involves a lot of exercise but I thought I would be mostly on a horse.

You mean mostly sitting? It's actually a lot of work, more than people realize. The horse doesn't do everything. But I think people generally on take one lesson a week, so it's not that often.

Wow, that's a lot of social events. How will you ever find the time to do your work? I'm and Academic Liaison for a society at uni but we never do ANYTHING and four of us came to the last meeting so it was cancelled. It sounds like your clubs are more involved.

Horse riding sounds fun and I can imagine that it's tiring.

Sounds just like the crappy bio soc (with the weird name bionet). It was run by a lecturer who had no interest in organising anything more than a few boring seminars. I helped ran it but have since quited.

It's a shame, especially as the chemistry soc is huge. :(
