I handed an essay in today. It was meant to be 3000 words or 20% less or 10% more. My one ended up being 2660, which at first I thought was just over 20% under, but then realised later that 20% of 3000 is 600, so it was reasonably well over the lower limit. It makes no difference as it was crap, but sufficiently non crap enough to get at least 40
