PSSG, mount fun and SHINY

I'm about ready to head off to the Peach State Star Gaze 2010 for a long weekend of shiny making, deep sky observing and general fun. But things were a bit dicey a couple days ago, when Shemp and I decided to upgrade the CGEM mount for my imaging setup.

It was advertised as a "2 or 3 hour" project".

Instead, the ordeal lasted 3 DAYS. Mainly

I'm always enormously impressed by people who have the skills and confidence to take stuff apart and fix it themselves instead of whimpering and paying somebody else to do it.

I skim when reading and when I first saw the first picture I thought it was some funky coin. Makes more sense when I read what it was, heh. Oh, and that's a lot of parts. I'd end up taking like 3 years to put it back together. There's a reason I take stuff to professionals.
