September was a busy and at times a roller coaster month - but at least its over. Its been awhile since the last post, but I've been out of town for most of last week star gazing and imaging. I'm about ready to head off to the Peach State Star Gaze 2010 for a long weekend of shiny making, deep sky observing and general fun. But things were a bit dicey a couple days ago, when Shemp and I decided to upgrade the CGEM mount for my imaging setup.

It was advertised as a "2 or 3 hour" project".

The 2009 PSSG - or Peach State 'Mud' GazeThis was the 16th PSSG I've been to, and by FAR the wettest. Normally October is our driest month - but not this year. In a few hours I'll be taking a break from moving/packing and heading off to the Peach State Star Gaze or PSSG 2009. Today looks pretty soggy, but the forecast starts to improve for Friday and the rest of the weekend. With luck, I'll have some new SHINY to post.
