Relationship for Rue :D

On a really basic level, Cesare thinks Rue is very interesting. The most interesting person he's met in Camp, including those people who are from some version of his homeland and people who are really demons or giant talking rats or what have you. He's clearly from somewhere that registers as "exotic" on his radar and is oddly gorgeous. Rue is also obviously intelligent and the little bits he mentions about things from his world fascinate Cesare. Rue is the person Cesare would most like to know more about, if we ignore the fact that he would find it more practical to get information on people he considers to be threats instead

Cesare is aware that Rue finds him attractive but so do enough people back in his world that it's not a big deal for him one way or the other. (Did you look at the scans? He has the most awkward pedo/gay scene ever.) If anything, he likes it because it's something that he is familiar with and knows how to work with. It's also flattering, especially coming from someone as good looking and cultured as Rue. More than that, though, it gives him power. More than in his other relationships, Cesare likes finding things that tip the balance of power in his favor with Rue. He highly enjoyed finding out that Rue was not interested in the math book, for example. Honestly, this is mostly compensation. Like I said above, Cesare doesn't feel in control of this relationship because he can't figure Rue out. if things like initiating kisses and being attractive give him some more control, then he is very willing to do them. He'll come to relax into everything more and start trusting him more like a normal person would, without that additional barrier
