I just received the best compliment I’ve received in… I don’t know, forever?

A student tweeted my teacher account (yes, I have one of those) to let me know that he misses my class dearly, “More than I miss Matt Smith as the 11th doctor.” OH. MY. GAWD.

I got chills reading that. It's funny and clever, but I couldn't even finish my sensation of admiring the humor before the chills overtook it. All that love and inspiration and energy and pure joy and adventure. That's what the kid invoked with that compliment.

I got an email from my troubled fandom buddy's mum, saying how much he missed me and that He says you are "the boss" which apparently means you are "awesome".
