ETA. * Someone tweeted today she saw the S2 trailer on ITV3. So anyone in the UK and with a TV, be on the lookout. (I'm currently in a place w/o one for the next few days, so no chance of catching it let alone recording it.)

Completely independent of the synopsis, I remember there were several BTS photos that seemed to indicate a formal "white tie" dinner in 2x01 -- I actually thought one of the photos was tagged as such. So, I thought they'd all change into more formal clothes for it. But unless this footage isn't from 2x01, it appears they're all eating dinner in their "regimental whatever event" clothes. Unless there are two dinners? Hmmm...

(Can't tell who appears to be in that...lunch shot other than Cora, Robert, Mary, Edith...who's next to Cora? Is that Lavinia next to Robert [can't be Sybil and it doesn't look like Isobel]. And then we see Matthew back at war? Does this mean Lavinia's going to like...stay in the house with them? Hmmm again...)

Hi, apparently S2 has fried my brain (and it's not even here yet). Didn't realize there were larger versions of the pictures. Matthew is definitely in that second picture. My goodness, and the trailer isn't even here yet...I'm' going to lose my mind before this weekend is through... ;)

Thank you so much for the youtube videos! Couple of very interesting things in those videos. I loved Julian Fellowes' explanation for the time jumps. I just hope this season they mark those jumps off a bit more clearly.

Also kind of interesting that Matthew is in black tie with an evening coat in one of those dinner scenes and many of the other male characters are clearly in uniform still.

I thought that too, but then I wondered if we just couldn't see it - in the other shots with Matthew in his red coat you can see that they have very wide black lapels, so the red of his jacket might just be obscured.

Thank you for the youtube videos! I wonder if I see enough clips here and there, I can honestly piece together the entire series before it airs in the US in January? LOL.

Probably not, for one thing they'd choose carefully what footage they release to the press/public, but I do like the BTS view, regardless of whether they contain spoilers or not. I love the 'insider' view of all that goes into filming a scene.
