I read, or at least skim, all the entries on my friends page. I like the feeling of reading about all sorts of lives other than my own. I have 256 friends or something like that so it is a big commitment to read so many entries. I feel a bit different than some about the online world since I have to have more boundaries than most, but I like the feeling when I tour and meet people from LJ and know just a bit about their lives. It makes me feel like the world is not such a huge place and a little less alone, you know?

I know that online friendships can sometimes disappoint in real life. Frankly, though, I have always found that the real, true friendships are few and far between in any scenario.

Anyway, just some thoughts on the subject and letting you know that I read your entry! :)

The interesting thing, Casey, is that you're the kind of artist-celeb-person I know who would read me (and your other LJ friends), and so a comment from you just tickles me pink. I never expect anything in that vein, but it's good to know that you care about your friends/fans so much to do so. And, you're right... it does make me feel less alone to connect in that way.

Thanks for the comment! Happy holidays to you!

I have been reading your blog for a long time. I have to say I miss your Open Diary Days. You talked more about your life and less about media. I guess it is kind of scary having your life splashed across the web pages for all to view.

Perhaps because I've never friended you back, you're missing the personal entries? I think when I first looked to see who you were, you didn't look that active in your LJ.

I think I talk more about music and tv because that's the bulk of what my LJ friends are talking about too, but I always forget that there are a few people who care about my personal aspects.

Let me friend you back and see where things develop. Thanks for your comment; I seem to forget that I was OD way back when.

Thanks again!

I don't comment near as much as I should, but I'm around for friendships not boredom. I don't have time for boredom. I love your posts about music and just rl in general and I will do my best to comment more after my job slows down. :D

For some reason, I never doubted my association with you. I think our connection through music will keep us binded together for quite some time; I just hope that we can talk more outside of this place. You seem the type of person I could just sit and watch TV and/or play a game with and be just dandy with it :)

Crap! As soon as I saw that you replied to this (before reading this comment), I thought, "I forgot E!" *slaps my hand*

You and I don't get to talk or hang out as much as I'd like, but I'd definitely put you in the category of Jay and Rich. I'm so sorry!

You would never sound stupid to me. And, I too read you and I comment as often as I can, but you're right... I think we have some of the driving things in common that would make us be at least better friends than we are now.

I agree! We should talk more and possibly get together in RL. I have my own room now, and if you're cool with sleeping with a girl (um, i don't mean like that, haha), then you can stay here and it's so close to the city and all that. Yes, let's talk more! :)

I suck at getting onto AIM though... you'll have to let me know when you're on and want to yack!
