ooohhhh whaaaat!!!! well this is a pleasant surprise. so exactly where does this fit into the original story? or is it being completely revamped?

I actually have no idea if there's been any official info from CLAMP on how this relates to xxxHolic and xxxHolic: Rou.

Hopefully we'll eventually find out? (But then again, this is CLAMP so maybe in another 50 chapters...)

Rou has left me extremely suspicious, so I'm not convinced that that is the Doumeki from xxxHolic and not his grandson/other descendant.

Watanuki having head pain seems to hint at the whole "it's all a dream" trope, but that seems way too simple/predictable for CLAMP.

In any case, it's nice having the lovely Yuuko back.

Huh. Upon second reading, I've noticed that Watanuki is back to having two blue eyes.

I think it is a self-inflicted illusion of back-to-rather-normal-with-Yuuko-around time, 'cause it cannot be a flashback. Some fans suggested it was an alternative reality of sorts but I'm more inclined to dream/hallucination...
