Birth without pain

Since I'm pregnant, my reading materials of choice over the last few weeks have been more birth books.  I've recently read my way through a couple that I wanted to read when I was pregnant with Isaac, but didn't have the funds or initiative to purchase.  They are now my favorite childbirth books, and I would recommend them to anyone.   Ina May ( Read more... )

Actually the F/F response of the sympathetic nervous system is a typical male response to anticipating pain. Accodring to a professor at UCLA, about 90% of the studies on hormonal responses to stress have been done on males only.
New studies show that the female autonomic nervous system is influenced more by the the parasympathetic nervous system to release acetylcholine, which causes unpleasant nauseous feelings.
I've been reading up on gender issues lately. I found this in "Why Gender Matters" by Leonard Sax. He thinks that girls and boys are so different they should be separated in school. I definitely see his point, but that's just my opinion.
