I don't do it.  Hardly anybody does.

But TV does.  For that matter, most fiction does.  It can't be otherwise.  For a story to be told and resolved in such a short amount of time requires one immediate, pressing crisis to come after another.

Interesting perspective!!! I remember when I used to watch movies or read stories as a junior high student, probably, and I always thought "so, I wonder what happened the chapter before this book started." Hahaha! I'm sure it was just the hum drum of a normal life until the super exciting plot came into being! Funny! Glad to catch up with ya'll!!!

Hi Maia! It's good to hear from you. I spend way too much time entertaining myself. If it isn't watching movies or old TV online, it's reading too many books. I really envy people who, when asked if they've seen any good movies lately, say "Who has time for movies?" When they have two hours of free time, they have an entire handful of other things they'd rather be doing -- bicycling, rock climbing, knitting, painting, cooking, the list goes on.
