A dinner party

Tonight I mingled with a dozen or so like minded friends.  Always refreshing.

I spent the day being depressed and downtrodden.  This evening, when asked how I was, I could only say, "I don't know."  It's not as if I have any life experiences that demand grief at the moment.  No one close to me has died.  I'm not homeless.  So I grieved without an ( Read more... )

I'm sorry you've been feeling bad! *huggles* However, I agree with you about sadness like this sometimes being the first step. I'm constantly frustrated living in this culture which tells us that we have to feel happy all the time, and that there's something wrong with us if we're not. Yeah, it's a problem if our feelings keep us from doing the things we need to be doing, but like you said, it can also be a deconstruction that we need.
