NOT A DAMN THING!!!

My babies took their SAT subject tests this morning - World History and Biology.  I'm sure it was hot and delicious.

Last night was festive with the MOO folk... Lots of ghetto hip-hop from the DURTY SOUTH at Aztecas... that, of course, coupled with beverages = crazy delicious.

I am incredibly proud of all my tenth grade history students!

100 percent of my students passed the social studies TAKS exam...

72 percent of my students received Commended Scholar on the social studies TAKS exam...

12 percent of my students received a perfect score on the social studies TAKS exam!

Woooooooooooooo-hoo!

Typically, this would be the time for my usual Sunday afternoon lesson plan writing extravaganza. But, after the melodrama of last week's end, I find myself paralyzed into mere ambivalence. I will eventually write them, though certainly not now.

Of course, a prior evening's drinking fest does not help.

In the meantime, I'll sleep.

World history is hard... especially when it is coupled by an impending SAT World History subject test... which, I swear, is (like) the hardest test in the world. I hope my students continue to push themselves and not become demotivated... Their hard work will yield scholarship opportunities and the impressive scores necessary for the most ( Read more... )
