Ah, summer, what power you have to make us suffer and like it.

Dear Summer,

Plz be going soon.

Sticky-with-hate-love, Sam

say cheerio to books now, the only things i'll read are faces.
[I adore that line.] One of the reasons I love Belle & Sebastian is because even when they're doing summery-type music like A Summer Wasting, they still sound spring-like and fresh. More cool summer evenings and mornings ( Read more... )

small music post, belle & sebastian, introspective

I'll gladly trade your summer with my winter.

If only it were. I can't stand the cold, especially if it's wet outside.

Heh, don't worry about it (no way did I say that in my head with a heavy Noo Yawk accent. Nuh uh.)

And yes, yes they are. And now I shall put 'The Village Green Preservation Society' on repeat*

I think I'm a troll (the real kind, not the flame war kind). Hot weather stops my brain functioning. Cold weather means I'm happy (but I'll still happily complain about the weather - I'm British, it's my birthright).

I think "British" says it all, really.

Uuugh. I have to venture out of the house and into town for job centre shenanigans in a few minutes.

That'll be fun.

Chirpy lady: [sexist, maybe, but I expect all employees to be female and exceptionally chirpy] So, how can I help you?
Me: [blinking, sweating profusely, having just come in from the Glaring Hot Sun] Uhhhhh. Job. Looking.
Chirpy lady: [hands me a McDonalds application form]

I'm sure it will.. Banbury is the home of Bird's custard. Meaning custard shenanigans are a possibility in my summer holiday. Joy joy joy.

I think I measure my brain activity by how much I care about my hair. If I'm working at full capacity, it's just pulled back. If I'm not, I fuss. And at the mintute, I'm playing with my hair. It doesn't look good for tomorrow either..

Mmm... custard. Oh, junior school-dinners.

...what's happening tomorrow?
