Ah, summer, what power you have to make us suffer and like it.

Dear Summer,

Plz be going soon.

say cheerio to books now, the only things i'll read are faces.
[I adore that line.] One of the reasons I love Belle & Sebastian is because even when they're doing summery-type music like A Summer Wasting, they still sound spring-like and fresh. More cool summer evenings and mornings ( Read more... )

I'll gladly trade your summer with my winter.

If only it were. I can't stand the cold, especially if it's wet outside.

Oh stop, you're making me feel all mournful and nostalgic for February. :(

But how can you like weather like that? It's so wet, cold and depressing. It makes you want to be in bed for the entire day, but you can't because you have class to go to.

Okay, I'll admit that having constant rain for three days is a bit of a pain (especially when you have to walk a mile to lectures) but I dunno, I still like cloudy days and rain - and I'd rather be a bit chilly than sticky and sweaty!

Also, hpt weather means I have to go shopping for summer clothes and that ends up annoying me more than any torrential downpour.

To quote knittenmitten (further down): Hot weather stops my brain functioning. Cold weather means I'm happy (but I'll still happily complain about the weather - I'm British, it's my birthright).

I'm British

That's all you needed to say, haha.

Winter clothes shopping is a pain because the clothes you buy are either too cold or hot for the weather. It's hard to have something that'll keep you just right.

Ha, very true!

How cold does it get where you are?

Heh. I'd be able to understand the winter clothes shopping annoyances if I didn't try and wear my "winter" clothes for as long possible and in any weather (also used for the best parts of spring and autumn) - they consist of jeans, black zip cardigan I've had for five years and however many layers of tops are needed underneath.

It's possible I've become over dependant on that black cardigan... but even I'm not stubborn (or stupid) enough to wear it in this weather!

Um, during the day it can be anywhere from 14 to 19 degrees (C). Early in the morning and night it can be anywhere from 7 degrees up. I'm sure this is nothing compared to the weather over where you are, haha.

I'm the exact same way, but only with my summer clothes. I normally wear jeans and a t shirt. If it's cold, I'll put on a jacket. If it's even colder I'll wear extra layers of shirts.

Well, it's understandable because you've had it for so long and black just goes with everything.
