You know how every so often you come across a song and instantly know, without the shadow of a doubt, that it will be used in a TV show - probably on the CW? Well right now, for me, it's "Demons" by Imagine Dragons on this month's Indie Rock Playlist. May have already been used somewhere when I wasn't paying attention, but I'll certainly notice it

"Demons" = DEAN/CASTIEL SONG. Okay, it's probably more fitting for Damon/Elena, like you said, but those lines about not wanting to let you down and this is all for you are lyrics straight out of Castiel's heart-song. Now I will sit back and wait patiently for some 'shipper to catch on and make a vid from it. COME ON, UNIVERSE, DELIVER THIS TO ME.

I will have to check Alex Winston out. I've never heard of her! What song should I start with first?

I adoooore her, fully expecting her to blow up like Florence and Lykke Li aaaaany second now.
Start with "Sister Wife" and "Fire Ant", I had both of those on repeat for months. Although "Choice Notes" is really cute too... ("Sister Wife" always gives me the giggles, it sounds like someone made a musical based on Big Love (or that reality show, I guess), and this is the signature song. And suddenly I'm reeeeally wishing someone would make that musical.)

No, no, nooo the song hasn't been vidded yet in the Dean/Castiel fandom. GET TO IT, INTERNET. Actually, that fandom needs to base up about Imagine Dragons in general because most of their songs I've listened to are pret-ty much Dean/Castiel songs. LIKE 100% OF THEIR LYRICS HAVE BEEN PULLED STRAIGHT OUT OF CASTIEL'S HEART-SONG. Esp. "Radioactive" which is sooooooo perfect for Castiel's entire season 6 arc that it kills me a little that it hasn't been vidded yet. I mean, it'd probably be considered harassment if I went around Youtube messaging vidders to vid it, y/duh??? BUT. THE SONG. SO PERFECT. WHY.

I will check out those songs you recced! Not that I even listen to Florence and the Machine or Lykke Li, but I need a female singer in my life. I always listen to dudes! Time to lady it up.

I had to buy Alex Winston's album for the same reason, lol. I did find out that the Basement Covers EP is totally free, however.
