Is there no happy medium?

This summer is like a roller coaster, and right now we're on a high.. where it's still over 20 degrees in the middle of the night. Last weekend it was single digits in the middle of the night :P It seems we warm right the heck up until we can hardly stand it and the humidity is such that you can cut the air with a knife... and then the sky barfs ( Read more... )

OMG I can't imagine life without air conditioning!!!
It's not quite July and we're in the mid-to-high nineties almost every day over here.

My mum has never had air conditioning... dad gave her one of those window units a while back, but she'd never put it up... until finally, one summer, she caved - when I didn't live there any more :P
I've always had a good fan though ;)

But, yeah, now I'm cold all the time at home and I LOVE IT.

I am in a basement apartment - so I have no control over the air conditioning, and it's sometimes colder than I would like, but oh well ;)

Do you have a recipe for those cookies? I'd love it if you could send it to me, if you can't no worries!

Guh, air conditioning!

I mean, it's nice when it's really hot out, okay. But when I have to either bundle up because I know I'll be going somewhere with air conditioning and so die of heat until I get there, or dress for the outside and then get inside and walk around with goosebumps and my arms wrapped around myself (in part for warmth and in part to hide the fact that I look like I'm trying to shoplift a couple tic-tacs in my shirt), it is NOT cool.

And I'm sorry, but when it's less than 75-80 outside, AC is not necessary inside...

generally, not a fan of AC and get along quite nicely with just a fan. But when it's 35 degrees celcius without the humidity, and humid as all get out, I appreciate some AC!!

I definitely get a bit fed up with the AC at school/work. My one office has been freezing since before it was really warm outside... and they leave the AC on 24/7, which seems super wasteful (since no one is in the office outside of 8-5 mon-fri except me!!). My one big AC pet peeve is that I walk to work, and if it's warm outside I'd like to dress appropriately for that - but then I'm freezing at work! :(

I like AC too, but it seems like everywhere you go, it's cranked way up. I am happy if the temperature is 75-80, so when the AC is cranked down to like 70, or when it's not hot out and they still have the AC on, it pisses me off.
