Tumblr friends? Would it be worth relocating over to Tumblr for most of my posts and the like? I sort of feel that LJ was awesome when I signed up on it ten years ago, but it's aged poorly with the rest of the social networking sites that the internet has to offer

I know.. I feel like my # of friends on LJ is.. very small now. In one way that leaves me to use LJ for the more personal stuff, that I don't want to air out to the 200+ people on FB or twitter or whatever... OTOH, is anyone still reading my LJ? lol.

As for comic book costumes, YES. Go for it! And OMG I LOVE my serger, the 4 thread stretch ultra safety stitch or something? Perfect o sew up superhero costumes. ANd I can finish a costume in about 2 days!

My Mom got me an overlock for the holidays, but I actually have not used it yet. (The thought of hooking it up scares me). Using the 'zig-zag' option on my sewing machine for my spandex on the current costumes I'm working on has been working out just fine.

It took me a little while to figure out my beast of a serger (it doesn't help I bought it for ridiculous cheap at a liquidation store so the tension settings are all wonky), but now I absolutely love it.
