Sam, Dean, Castiel, PG, 1,900 words

a/n: Set between SPN 5x13 and 5x14, with a shout-forward to 5x18. Written for maychorian's birthday. She asked a while back for "Sam&Dean&Cas...something in a meadow." This is not nearly as peaceful as that sounds

This fic left me with a warm feeling - sparring as a bonding exercise, how very Winchester. I love Castiel as a disapproving schoolteacher, I just can see his annoyed frown.&hearts Very sweet.

Hee. Castiel has yet to get the sparring-as-bonding thing -- I hadn't planned for Dean to pin Castiel but then it sort of happened and I think of it as like the whoopie cushion thing, he's accepting Castiel.

Sam&Dean needed some sparring and bonding time, poor boys.
