Poly plural = even more drama than just poly by itself?

Do I need to say anything more? This post really snarks itself. Umm... holy cow.

As we all know, my name is Ducki. I happen to be plural, meaning there are five other people sharing my body. I'm a member of multiplicity, as is diana ( Read more... )

I really don't see the issue here. Working systems almost have to be poly by default, unless everyone's okay with only one personality getting all the sex.

All Josh/Xander and Ducki/Diana have to do is TALK. Then bring M into the equation.

Glory be, people make things extra difficult for no good reason.

I don't know about that, at least not if you take MPD systems at face value. Sure, everyone has to agree on what happens with the relevant jiggly bits, but each person inside can be mono with someone else, or even with one person inside someone else's system. If different people like different partners, then the jiggly bits will be poly, I suppose.

Would they be mono if all the people in system A who are boinking anyone happened to be boinking different people in system B, such that only two sets of jiggly bits are involved?

OKay, so personality A1 likes personality B2 and B3, and personality A2 likes personality B1. So, B1 and A2 are monogamous, and A1, B2, and B3 are pol.

But, to someone thats not multiple, they see Body A as their property, reguardless of "personality," so they are always having sex with the same body, and dont want the body having sex with someone else.

My multiple ex girlfriend says its like being poly with only body!

Sharing a body, you still have to deal with physical scheduling issues no matter who's bonking whom mentally. Poly's a good framework for that, as well as giving partners who might not fully understand MPD a framework to deal with "sharing".

My clue to stop reading was, "As we all know, my name is. . ."

There is a theory that exposure to the Internet is actually *worse* for the mentally ill than isolation, because the untreated can get together and convince each other that they're well. This is how furries are born, for example. XD

Absent an Internet community to affirm her beliefs about herself, this poor girl might have continued to see her therapist long enough to get some relief.

May she find peace.

Better bring some, let's see. Iron, for the fae. Garlic, for the wampyrs. Whatever it is that kills dragons, maybe dragonlance novels. Is there some substance that reliably kills anime chicks? Lack of attention potions?

Nothing I like better than to see one minority pick on another, and then wonder why people don't accept their brand of weirdness.

The entire point of this community is to pick on people. We aren't singling out multiples for ridicule--we ridicule everyone.

Apparently it isn't obvious to everyone. But you're always free to ignore whatever you like.
