Only a fool has to say I didn't think it was loaded'

Wow, that is pure genius. I wondered how I could make "loaded" a plural possessive, and now I know. Further, I am very happy to know that only a fool HAS TO SAY one thing - I didn't think it was loaded'. This is great! The line about the gun 'snapping' I suspect refers to the noise the hammer made coming down on the firing pin, which in the absence of a round to discharge makes a sharp 'crack' or 'snap' rather than the gun mystically 'snapping' in the sense of attacking someone.

I never heard that one. I was always taught to spell out numbers until a hundred. Either way, the number "40" should be spelled out.
