I saw a video on CNN about a fat cat yesterday, is this the same one?? (I'm at work so I can't look at that link..."

It is super gross. My cats are big, and we try to keep them thin- they're just big-boned I guess :( But even they aren't HUGE like that! Eeeewwwwwwwwww

You know, I'm not sure. I didn't get a chance to check out CNN yesterday.
This is a 40 pound cat living in Lino Lakes Minnesota (I knew I never liked Lino Lakes).

See, at least you are trying to keep your cats' weight down.

These people claimed not to have noticed that their cat had gained so much weight. How, in all that is good and right, could you not notice that your cat gained that much weight???

Yeah, we try to keep them from becoming fatsos. they are SUPER food-protective. If you ever walk into the kitchen the one cat BARRELS past you to get in front of his food (my parents put out their food for the day in the AM and they graze from it until it's gone.... )

That is so heartbreakingly sad. That poor cat!!!! When I got my Dachshund, her belly dragged on the ground. She ended up at just under 14 pounds. She started at 23.5. She lost almost TEN pounds. Do people not realize that they're killing their animals?

Can that cat even manage to walk more than a few steps?! That poor thing, I would never abuse my animals like that >:(

my local news did a story on fat cats a day or two ago.

Apparently there's also extremely heavy cats around North Carolina (can't remember if it was NC or a state by it), and one in Massachusetts. It started out the story with a local cat that was majorly overweight, but not compared to the other cats.
