To some, I guess it is.

But then, designer dogs are "hybrids", don'tcha know? *nodnod* How dare smart people call them "mutts", which is so derogatory to the planned puppies!!!11!!!

I had an argument about this exact subject with my mom a while ago (OK, I had several arguments with her a while ago, but this one is topical - you know, like that cream you got for your rash in your... nevermind)

Anyway, it went so far that I looked the word "mutt" up in the dictionary. I read the definition out loud. Mom shut up. Hell froze over, and peace reigned supreme.

Disclaimer: A lot of that didn't happen. But I was right, she was wrong, and then she stopped talking. Pretty miraculous, I'd say.
