Three Little Words. “You’re going on a date with Amadeus Cho?”
Victor slipped on his favorite leather jacket and inspected his face in the mirror for any sudden outbreaks of pimples or scales. “Is there a problem, Julian?” he asked sweetly.
“Besides the fact that the guy’s a grade A world class freak?” Julian made a disgusted noise.
“He’s cute, he’s funny, and he likes animals. I’m failing to see the problem.”
“The problem,” Julian replied, planting his hands on the wall beside Victor’s head, trapping him in place, “is that you’ve decided to run off after God knows what when we had a good thing going. He’s got no idea how you like to be touched-” Ghostly telekinetic fingers danced lazily up his spine, “-how you like to be hurt-” Claws ripped down Victor’s back, making him hiss and arch his back as Julian pressed closer, his lips hovering above Victor’s pulse. “Not like I do.”
Victor’s eyes fluttered closed, and he tilted his head back, fisting his hands in Julian’s shirt. Then he gave Julian a shove, sending him sprawling on the floor. “I look forward to showing him.”
