“Anyone ever tell you that you’re totally hot?” Johnny Storm asked, practically leering at the cute brunette next to him. She blinked, her eyebrows arching as Johnny stuck out a hand. “Johnny Storm. I’m a super-hero. Maybe you’ve heard of me?”
“Yeah, I-” She coughed, then took a drink from her soda. “Jessica. Jessica Drew,” she said, shaking Johnny’s hand.
“You know, I could swear I’ve seen you before,” Johnny went on, trying to place Jessica’s face. She wasn’t acting like an old fling. Maybe he’d rescued her or something.
“Well, I’m from around here, kinda.” She smiled shyly, ducking her head. “Haven’t been back in a while.”
“Well, if you need any help getting reacquainted with the city…”
Jessica giggled, covering he mouth with her hand. “Aren’t you helpful.”
“All part of being a super-hero, babe.”
